Dean R. Holland, President
Holland & Company President Dean R. Holland is a Certified Public Accountant registered in the State of Illinois, and is a member in good standing with the Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).Dean also is Chairman, President, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Advocate Software Corporation (ASC). ASC is a software development firm whose principal product is Service Bridge®, a service management and dispatching software system that integrates with the BusinessWorks 50 and QuickBooks accounting softwares. Dean’s professional experience includes several years as Controller and Accounting Manager for subsidiaries of the financial services firms Societe’ Generale and S.G. Warburg & Company. During his tenure with these firms, Dean established and implemented accounting and internal controls to safeguard the assets of new subsidiaries.He also spent several years with the Chicago-based public accounting firm of Checkers, Simon & Rosner (now a division of American Express Tax Services). As a senior auditor, Dean budgeted and coordinated certified audits and reviews of privately and publicly-held financial service entities.In addition, Dean spent several years as an In-Charge Auditor for a quasi-government agency performing internal and financial audits of financial service firms throughout the country. For the past 10 years, Dean has been an active board member for the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the College of DuPage (COD) in Glen Ellyn, Illinois for this service Dean earned the prestigious SBA’s Illinois Accountant of the Year Award in 1998 for himself and his company. He currently serves as Vice-Chairman of the SBDC Advisory Board and heads the Board’s Program Committee, which is responsible for assisting with the development of seminars and conferences for businesses in the DuPage County area.

Dean also worked with COD’s Business Professional Institute as an instructor for more than fourteen years, serving as a facilitator for accounting and tax-related seminars. Dean is past Chairman of the Young Friends for LaGrange Community Memorial Hospital, a not-for-profit organization that raises funds for community health programs. He also is a frequent speaker for numerous trade and non-for-profit organizations, and has published articles in several trade journals. Dean received his B.S. in Accounting from Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.


Jean Nardozzi, Accounting Manager
Jean has been employed by Holland & Company, CPAs since January 1997. From 1997 until November 2001 Jean was employed as a Staff Accountant. In December 2002, Jean was promoted to Accounting Manager.Prior to her tenure with Holland & Company, CPAs, Jean was employed in various accounting positions with United States Gypsum Company from 1976 through 1989.Originally from Fort Dodge, Iowa, Jean moved to Naperville in 1980 due to a promotion within United States Gypsum Company. Jean and her husband John have two daughters, Sarah and Kristen. Jean has her B.S. in Accounting and Business Administration and a minor in Math from Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, IA. Jean likes to read, play golf, and spends many hours at ice-skating rinks and competitions for her daughter.

 


Terri Minardi, Senior Accountant
Terri has been a long-time employee of Holland & Company, having been with the firm since 1993. Terri started as a Staff Accountant and was promoted to Senior Accountant in December 2002.Prior to joining Holland & Company, CPAs, Terri worked for Judi Stauss Tax Service from 1989 through 1993 as a tax preparer.From 1973 to 1986 Terri worked for First National Bank of Chicago as an Assistant Vice President. During her tenure, Terri worked part-time in the trust tax department while in college. She then moved on to full-time positions throughout First Chicago-the parent company of FNBC. Full-time positions included financial analyst in the Leasing Company, Travelers Cheque Company, Commercial Lending Department Head, and for the head of the Human Resources Department. Terri earned both her B.S. in Accounting and M.B.A. in Finance from DePaul University, Chicago, IL.

Jan Holland, Office Manager

Jan Holland, Dean Holland’s sister-in-law, began working with Holland & Company CPAs in October of 2007 as the office manager.Jan decided to rejoin the workforce five years ago, after taking time away to raise her two children. Prior to her employment at Holland & Company CPAs, Jan was employed in various administrative positions with Chart House, Inc. and Interstate United, from 1976 – 1982.She also spent several years at the First Boston investment banking firm as an administrative assistant to a corporate finance investment banker. Later she was given the additional responsibility to manage the computer system in the small but growing Chicago location. From 1983 to 1988, she worked at Arthur Andersen public accounting world headquarters as an office automation coordinator. Her role was to work with all levels of employees to address computer issues and teach employees to use their computers and software, and any other equipment related to office automation.

Jan earned her Associates Degree in 1976. Born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, Jan has lived in Naperville with her husband Kevin, son Kyle, and daughter Stephanie for 26 years. Jan enjoys playing golf, reading, exercising, and spending time with her family.


sallySally Cuff, QuickBooks Bookkeeper

After graduating from Northern Illinois University with a degree in Finance, Sally spent 10 years trading commodities on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Upon leaving the exchange, Sally managed the day-to-day operations of a family-owned home building company. After raising her children, Sally found her way back into the accounting industry, working with Knocc, Inc. and most recently,

MLA Accounting. As a lifelong resident of Naperville, Sally enjoys volunteering and participating in all that her community offers. She and her husband John have 2 children, Johnny, a graduate of University of Wisconsin and Kelsey, a student at Augustana University. In her free time, Sally enjoys spending time with her friends and family and is looking forward to completing her 10th half marathon in the near future.


lynnLynn Ezerski, Staff Accountant

Lynn Ezerski started with Holland & Company, CPAs in September 2012 as a staff accountant.Prior to joining Holland & Company, Lynn owned a financial service company in Naperville. She was a Certified Financial Planner, stockbroker, insurance agent, tax preparer and full charge bookkeeper. She did bookkeeping for clients, prepared financial plans and tax returns and provided financial advice and analysis to clients.After raising her twin boys in Naperville, Lynn and her husband Mike, moved to Plainfield where she is happy someone else takes care of the snow and lawn maintenance. Lynn’s hobbies include jewelry making, attending live plays and spoiling her first grandson.
